Certifications are provided through a 2-Day workshop, offered to those who hold an active license in Cosmetology or Esthetics.
An Eyelash Extension Specialist License is only issued from a State. Gaining licensure in Texas means completing 320 hours of theory education and hands-on clinical hours from an Approved school and passing the State Boards Exam. The only prerequisites for this license is a high school diploma or equivalency.
The Art of Classic Lash Application, starts with a foundational understanding of eye health and anatomy. Once that foundation is established, The Facial Room Society builds upon it, bringing you the latest in lash styling/ mapping, tweezer selection, adhesive 101, proper lash isolation, lash application, creating the perfect bond between the natural lash and the extension, and more. Our students are taught the importance of meeting clients expectations and preserving the natural lash health while achieving beautiful results.
Our 11 week course is the only physician-developed course in the lash extension industry;
equipped with Luxury brand tools and supplies from Lash Affair by J. Paris ;
and meets all the requirements of TDLR for an Eyelash Extension Specialist license.
After completion of this course, students are eligible to take the state written and practical exams to receive their license.
This program of technical instruction includes-
· Pre-clinical Classroom Instruction: The first 130 hours are devoted to classroom workshops, demonstration, and practical experience. You will learn eyelash application theory and technique including:
· Clinic Learning Experience: The next 190 hours are hands-on, working on mannequins and then Live Models.
Each student will receive an Artist's Kit by Lash Affair containing high-quality professional products to learn to use during hands-on training applications and future clients.
If you are interested in doing more than just eyelash extension services (skin treatments, waxing, etc.) an Esthetician license is required.
The eyelash extensions curriculum is covered in our Elite Esthetics course, and licensed Estheticians are qualified to perform eyelash extensions.
